On August 27, 2026, Chile's Financial Analysis Unit (UAF) announced that it will implement Clave Única (Single Key) as the authentication mechanism for accessing the Portal of Reporting Entities, effective October 19, 2026. This measure strengthens security for institutional system access and represents a significant step in the UAF's technology modernisation process. From October 19, 2026, natural persons representing reporting entities—including compliance officers, responsible officials, and other authorised users—must authenticate using Clave Única to access the Portal of Reporting Entities. The UAF will communicate additional complementary security mechanisms in due course. The initiative aligns with the State's digital transformation process and the UAF's technology modernisation strategy to reinforce platform security and optimise digital interaction with obligated reporting entities. Recognising that many reporting entities use automated systems to submit Suspicious Operations Reports (ROS) and Cash Operations Reports (ROE), the UAF will enable an alternative authentication mechanism and differentiated access exclusively for these automated operations to ensure operational continuity. The Clave Única implementation represents a preparatory step toward MiUAF, the new technology platform scheduled for gradual rollout beginning in 2027. MiUAF will eventually replace the current Portal of Reporting Entities and progressively integrate registration, reporting, training, supervision, and other processes conducted between the UAF and obligated subjects.
