On July 23, 2026, Council Decision (CFSP) 2026/1845 amending Decision 2014/145/CFSP concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine was published in the Official Journal of the European Union. Council Decision (CFSP) 2026/1845 imposed restrictive measures against 48 individuals and 168 entities responsible for actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine. Moreover, the Decision introduced derogations and exemptions from the asset freeze and the prohibition on making funds and economic resources available to some specific designated entities and persons. Finally, the Decision introduced a requirement for Member States not to recognise or enforce any injunction, order, relief, judgment or other court decision or administrative decision given by a Russian court or authority in connection with any contract or transaction the performance of which has been affected, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the measures imposed under Decision 2014/145/CFSP or Regulation (EU) No 269/2014. The decision comes into effect on July 23, 2026.
