On June 26, 2026, the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) ordered the extrajudicial liquidation of Sefer Investimentos Distribuidora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários Ltda. According to the announcement, the decision was motivated by the severe compromise of the institution's financial situation, as well as by serious violations of legal and regulatory rules governing the activities of entities operating within the National Financial System (SFN). The BCB will continue to take all appropriate measures to investigate responsibilities within its legal powers, which may lead to the application of administrative sanctions and notifications to the competent authorities. Additionally, the assets of the controllers and former administrators of the institution are immediately decreed frozen.
