On June 3, 2026, the Gaming Supervision Service at the Lithuanian Ministry of Finance (Lošimų priežiūros tarnyba prie Lietuvos Respublikos finansų ministerijos) published guidelines on the termination of remote gaming contracts. The Gaming Supervision Service developed these guidelines to establish best practices for remote gaming contract termination. The service recognised that termination of remote gaming contracts is regulated by different legal acts, and sought to create uniform understanding and application of these regulations across the industry. The guidelines aim to assist gaming operators in correctly and consistently applying the legal provisions governing the grounds for terminating remote gaming contracts. The guidelines provide a framework for gaming operators to follow when implementing remote gaming contract termination procedures. By establishing consistent practices based on a unified interpretation of applicable legislation, the guidelines support regulatory compliance and fair treatment of players across Lithuania's remote gaming sector.
