On June 1, 2026, Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dačić announced the launch of the national "Cyber Guard" platform, a digital reporting and protection system designed to combat high-technology crime and enhance security in the digital space. The platform, accessible at https://sajberstraza.gov.rs, became operational on the occasion of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Police Day celebrations.
The Cyber Guard platform serves as a centralised hub where citizens and legal entities can access reliable information, receive timely warnings, identify risks, and improve their security when using the internet and digital services. The platform enables users to report internet fraud, account abuse, compromised digital systems, malicious links and content, theft and misuse of personal data, digital violence, and other incidents in the digital environment. Dačić emphasised that the platform aims to prevent new criminal offences, accelerate threat detection, provide timely citizen notifications, and enable more efficient responses from competent institutions. High-technology crime affects not only the information technology sector but also directly impacts citizens, the economy, and society's security as a whole, he noted.
The Cyber Guard platform incorporates preventive and coordination functions through faster data exchange and cooperation among competent institutions, the financial sector, the internet community, and international partners. The platform will facilitate data sharing on accounts used for fraud and illegal activities in collaboration with the Serbian Banking Association and commercial banks, and will exchange data on malicious internet domains with the Serbian National Internet Domain Registry and internet service providers. The Service for Combating High-Technology Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Technical Directorate, in cooperation with the Special Department for Combating High-Technology Crime of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, implemented the platform with support from the Council of Europe and UNOPS as the implementation partner.
