1947 charsUkraine's National Bank Reinstates Service Fees for BankID System Participants
On April 28, 2026, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) announced the reinstatement of service fees within the BankID NBU system, effective June 24, 2026. The fees apply to services provided by the NBU to system participants, including connection to the system and processing of successful user identifications.
The reinstatement of tariffs aims to ensure the system's effective development and offset maintenance costs. Since March 13, 2022, all BankID NBU services had been provided free of charge to support system functionality during martial law. Fees now apply only to commercial subscribers—banks and other legal entities providing commercial services—and do not affect individual end-users of the system.
The NBU maintains free services for subscribers using BankID NBU exclusively for non-commercial purposes, including state institutions, public educational establishments, and civil society organisations. For commercial subscribers, the updated tariffs (excluding value-added tax) are: connection of a commercial identifier subscriber (18,000 Ukrainian hryvnia); connection of a service provider subscriber or service provider with special status (14,000 hryvnia); connection of an additional subscriber node (10,000 hryvnia); connection of an additional service portal (10,000 hryvnia); and processing of each successful remote electronic identification confirmation between commercial subscribers (0.25 hryvnia).
These changes were adopted through Board Resolution No. 45 of April 24, 2026, "On Approval of Changes to Service Tariffs Provided by the National Bank of Ukraine in Certain Areas of Its Activity." As of the announcement, the BankID NBU system comprises 37 identifier subscribers and 115 service provider participants.
