TITLE: Netherlands Kansspelautoriteit Issues Enforcement Action Against JEF Holdings Ltd for Illegal Gambling Advertising BODY: On July 14, 2025, the Netherlands Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) issued a last under dwangsom (enforcement order with periodic penalty payments) against JEF Holdings Ltd for advertising illegal gambling services, including on the website Casinoscout.nl. The KSA determined that JEF Holdings Ltd engaged in unlawful promotion of illegal online casinos. If the company continues to advertise illegal gambling services, the KSA will impose periodic penalty payments of €75,000 per week, with a maximum cumulative penalty of €225,000. This enforcement action targets operators promoting unlicensed gambling offerings to Dutch consumers, which represents a significant breach of Dutch gambling advertising regulations. JEF Holdings Ltd subsequently filed an objection to the initial enforcement order. On May 12, 2026, the KSA issued a decision on the objection, upholding its enforcement action. The company now has the right to appeal this decision to the district court (rechtbank). The KSA published the decision on objection, notification of the sanction decision, and a public disclosure decision on May 12, 2026.
