TITLE: Italy's Autonomous Administration of State Monopolies Launches New Instant Lottery Game with Remote Participation
BODY:
On May 7, 2026, Italy's Autonomous Administration of State Monopolies (Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli – ADM) issued a directorial determination launching a new national instant extraction lottery with remote participation called "20X NEW LIT". The determination, issued by Central Games Director Mario Lollobrigida, establishes the criteria and operational modalities for the lottery in accordance with the General Regulation of Instant Extraction Lotteries adopted through Ministerial Decree 197 of November 14, 2025.
The lottery ticket price is set at €5.00 per play. Two initial batches of 11,040,000 playable games each will be distributed, with a combined prize pool of €39,304,200 per batch. Prize distribution ranges from a single €500,000 prize to 1,196,000 prizes of €5 each. The pay-out ratio corresponds to the relationship between the total prize pool and the aggregate value of each batch of games. Additional batches may be generated during the lottery's operation based on collection performance, maintaining the established prize structure and proportional distribution across all prize categories.
Winnings of €10,000 or less are credited directly to the player's gaming account by the remote point of sale, in accordance with procedures established by ADM's January 15, 2026 determination. Winnings exceeding €10,000 require submission of a claim within 45 days of the lottery's closure, either at Lotterie Nazionali S.r.l.'s Prize Office in Rome or at an Intesa Sanpaolo branch. Winnings above €500 are subject to a 20 percent withholding on the amount exceeding €500, as established by Article 1, Section 734 of Law 160 of December 27, 2019. The lottery enters into force upon publication on ADM's institutional website, with a separate directorial determination to establish the closure date.
