TITLE: Washington State Gambling Commission Holds Public Meeting on May 14, 2026

On May 14, 2026, the Washington State Gambling Commission will hold a public meeting at the Liquor and Cannabis Board in Olympia, Washington. The meeting will commence at 9:30 AM and will be accessible virtually via Microsoft Teams and by telephone.
The agenda includes several substantive matters. The Commission will review a petition for review in Case No. 2024-01401 involving Hongmei Sheng, with potential closed session proceedings. A consent agenda will address approval of April 6 and April 9, 2026 Commission meeting minutes, new licenses and Class III gaming employees, and the house-banked card room licensee list. The Commission will also conduct an election of officers, including Chair and Vice Chair positions.
The Commission will receive a presentation from Sayee Vaitheesvaran, Chief Information Officer, on the launch of new MyAccount and Polaris systems. Additionally, the Commission will consider a default matter involving Angelica Ornelas (CR 2025-01848). Under rule-making proceedings, the Commission will address a petition to initiate rulemaking to allow a participant to change their self-exclusion term, presented by Tricia Gullion, Legislative and Rules Manager. The Commission will also consider potential 2027 agency legislation requests.
