The Commission approved Game 422, a $5 scratch game titled "150th Birthday!" featuring a frenzy prize structure with hundreds of $150 top prizes, anticipated to launch on June 22, 2026. The game has a 68.5% payout and overall odds of 1 in 3.53, and is eligible for the monthly $100,000 Second Chance Bonus Draw.
The Commission received updates on several operational areas. Scratch game sales for February totalled just over $47 million, representing a $2.9 million increase from the prior year. Fiscal year 2026 scratch sales are tracking ahead of the $611 million goal by approximately $6.7 million. Overall lottery sales for February reached $63.4 million, up $3.1 million compared to February 2025. Jackpot game sales generated $16.4 million in February, with multi-state games (Powerball and Mega Millions) combined monthly sales up $1.4 million year-over-year. Fiscal year jackpot sales are ahead of the annual forecast by approximately $26 million.
Scientific Games provided updates on retail expansion, reporting six retailers awaiting retailer identification numbers and two additional retailers in the application process. Brightstar reported on post-conversion system execution, noting that 82% of teams reported reduced manual work following the unified equipment ordering process launch, with 91% reporting improved ways of working. The Retailer Wizard platform achieved 42 active retailer accounts with over 200 logins in its first month.
Deputy Director David Aldag provided an update on Senate Bill 26-117, which passed the Joint Finance Committee by a 5-4 vote and awaits Appropriations Committee review. The Lottery received five responses to its iLottery digital platform solicitation, with contract award targeted for June 1, 2026, and an anticipated launch date of July 2027.
