TITLE: Norway's Ministry of Culture and Equality Releases Action Plan Against Gambling Problems for 2026–2029 BODY: On March 27, 2026, Norway's Ministry of Culture and Equality (Kultur- og likestillingsdepartementet) published a new action plan addressing gambling problems covering the period 2026–2029. The action plan builds on over 20 years of previous initiatives that have enhanced knowledge about gambling behaviour and developed support services for individuals experiencing gambling-related problems. It incorporates input from multiple stakeholders working on gambling issues, including user organisations and organisations representing family members and carers affected by problem gambling. The plan emphasises the importance of involving users (gamblers) and their families and carers in implementing the measures outlined within it. This participatory approach reflects a commitment to ensuring that those directly affected by gambling problems contribute to the development and delivery of support interventions. The action plan succeeds the previous Action Plan Against Gambling Problems 2022–2025, continuing Norway's strategic approach to addressing gambling-related harms through evidence-based policy and stakeholder collaboration.
