TITLE: Massachusetts Gaming Commission to Hold Public Meeting on Sports Wagering and Gaming Regulations

On March 26, 2026, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold public meeting #585 to discuss regulatory matters, sports wagering policy, and operational approvals. Chair Jordan Maynard will preside over the meeting, which includes Commissioners Paul Brodeur, Brad Hill, Eileen O'Brien, and Nakisha Skinner.
The agenda encompasses several key items. The Legal Division will discuss regulations including 205 CMR 250 (Prohibited Practices), 205 CMR 3.02 (Protection of Minors and Underage Youth from Sports Wagering), 205 CMR 3.28 (Definitions), and 205 CMR 3.29 (Medications and Prohibited Substances). The Racing Division will present a request from Plainridge Park Racecourse for approval of racing officials and key operating personnel. The Sports Wagering Division will address a request from MGM to pay out lost wagers pursuant to 205 CMR 238.47. The Research and Responsible Gaming Division will lead discussion of an ad hoc sports wagering study for the fiscal year 2026 research agenda. The Information Technology Division will seek approval of a technical security expert. The meeting will also review minutes from the February 26, 2026 meeting and enter executive session to review previous executive session minutes.
