TITLE: Italy's Gaming Authority Publishes Updated Gaming Account Registry Communication Protocol BODY: On March 20, 2026, Italy's Gaming Authority (Direzione Giochi) published an updated draft version of the communication protocol for the Gaming Account Registry (PACG), version 3.2, effective March 18, 2026. The updated protocol introduces modifications to payment methods used in gaming account transactions. Specifically, three payment methods have been removed from two message types: "Scratch Reload" (code 9), "Gaming Account" (code 12), and "Point of Sale" (code 15) have been eliminated from message types 4.3 "Gaming Account Movement" and 4.14 "Gaming Account Movement Reversal" in Table 7.9 "Payment Methods Table". These changes streamline the protocol by removing redundant or obsolete payment method categories from specific transaction messages. The structural framework of the protocol messages remains unchanged, meaning the WSDL and XSD files will not be modified. The updated protocol will be available in the test environment from March 23, 2026. This allows licensed remote gaming operators and concessionaires to test their systems against the new specifications before full implementation. Licensed operators authorised to collect remote gaming wagers, along with SO.GE.I. S.P.A. (the technology service provider), should review the updated protocol documentation. Any observations, questions, or requests for clarification can be submitted to assistenza-giochi@sogei.it, with copies to dir.giochi.gad-scommesse@adm.gov.it.
