This is a consumer fraud alert about impersonation scams, not a regulatory update affecting payment services, products, or institutions.
While the scam may target financial services broadly, there is no specific evidence that payment services, e-money, or any taxonomy-defined payment product is involved.
Specialism
The DFSA alert warns the public about fraudulent websites and cloned domains falsely claiming DFSA regulation, which is a scam prevention and fraud awareness communication targeting payment service users and the financial services community.
Low confidence — requires human review. While the alert involves regulatory oversight and public warnings, it is primarily a consumer protection advisory rather than a formal supervisory framework or enforcement action.

TITLE: Dubai Financial Services Authority Alerts Public to Fraudulent Claims of Qalynomics and Qanotarytx Regulation
BODY:
On March 5, 2026, the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) issued an alert warning the financial services community and the public of a scam involving two firms falsely claiming to be regulated by the DFSA.
The scammers have created fraudulent websites at qalynomics.com and qanotarytx.com, falsely representing that Qalynomics and Qanotarytx are regulated and supervised by the DFSA. Additionally, the scammers have cloned the DFSA's Public Register website, creating fraudulent domains at https://dubai-finance-certify.org/firm-962817 and https://dubai-finance-certify.org/firm-576050 to falsely represent that these firms are authorised by the DFSA.
The DFSA clarifies that Qalynomics and Qanotarytx are not, and have never been, authorised by the DFSA. The fraudulent domains have no connection with the DFSA, and the legitimate DFSA Public Register website is available at www.dfsa.ae/public-register/firms. This alert follows a previous warning issued by the DFSA regarding scams involving the cloning of its Public Register.
The DFSA strongly advises the public not to respond to any communications related to this scam and under no circumstances to send money to any party connected to it. Consumers are encouraged to verify the authenticity of any correspondence purporting to be from the DFSA or DFSA-regulated firms by consulting the DFSA's Public Register. Those with concerns about suspicious correspondence should contact the DFSA via its Complaints function or the DIFC Authority at +971 4 362 2222.
