TITLE: Louisiana Gaming Control Board Approves Settlement Agreement with Witch's Golden Lantern

On February 26, 2026, the Louisiana Gaming Control Board (LGCB) approved a compromise and settlement agreement with Witch's Golden Lantern, LLC d/b/a The Golden Lantern, a Type 1 licensed video draw poker establishment located in Kenner, Louisiana.
The settlement resolves violations of Louisiana Gaming Control Law related to the licensee's failure to timely submit its Annual Licensee Form, required documentation, and annual fee. The Louisiana State Police, Gaming Enforcement Division issued a courtesy letter on April 1, 2025, requiring submission by July 1, 2025, with a warning that failure to submit by August 31, 2025 would result in suspension, revocation, or civil penalty. The licensee submitted the required materials on October 29, 2025, approximately two months after the deadline, constituting violations of La. R.S. 27:435(K)(4)(0) and La. R.S. 27:435(K)(4)(c).
Under the settlement terms, Witch's Golden Lantern must pay a civil penalty of $750.00 in full settlement of all matters contained in the Notice of Recommendation of Administrative Action. The penalty must be paid within 15 days of the LGCB's approval. Failure to meet this deadline will result in immediate suspension of the gaming license without further administrative action until the penalty is paid in full. The Gaming Enforcement Division reserves the right to consider this admitted violation in future investigations and assessments of the licensee's suitability.
The Administrative Hearing Officer approved the settlement agreement on February 19, 2026, prior to the LGCB's final approval on February 26, 2026.
