TITLE: Slovakia's Gambling Regulatory Authority Issues Methodological Guidance on Data Reporting Requirements BODY: On March 21, 2025, the Office for the Regulation of Gambling Games (Úrad pre reguláciu hazardných hier) issued methodological guidance establishing uniform procedures for gambling operators submitting data notifications under the Gambling Act (Act No. 30/2019 Coll.). The guidance clarifies reporting obligations for gambling operators across multiple game categories, including numerical lotteries, betting games, internet games, bingo, table games, gaming machines, video terminals, and card games outside casinos. Operators must submit daily notifications of accepted bets, paid winnings, and fees for games specified under Section 74(3) and (4) of the Gambling Act. Operators of charitable lotteries, instant lotteries, and draw lotteries must submit monthly notifications by the 25th day following the calendar month end. Daily notifications must be submitted no later than the second working day following the reporting date. The guidance introduces a significant change to data submission procedures: the "Sequential Number" element in mandatory XML attachments must now reflect the unique CRU number (identification code) assigned by the authority for each venue, gaming hall, casino, internet gaming hall, or internet casino. This replaces previous sequential numbering practices. Specific exceptions apply to certain lottery games, which continue using designated numeric values (1 or 2) based on betting method (physical premises or SMS). State lottery operators must indicate their CRU number for internet betting venues or use values 1 or 2 for physical or SMS betting methods respectively. The new reporting format applies to all submissions from July 1, 2025 onwards, including regular and amended notifications. Operators must consistently use current valid CRU numbers in all submissions. Detailed information, XML templates, and XSD schemas are available on the authority's website.
